The Oceanova DeepWatch 1000 is a long-duration autonomous underwater camera system designed for static monitoring and time-lapse subsea observation.
Built around a third-party tested 1000 m-rated subsea pressure housing, the system is configured for low-power timed image capture, onboard flash / microSD storage, and internal battery operation. Deep Watch 1000 can be set to capture images at customizable defined intervals, such as one image per minute, with the system powering down between captures to extend deployment duration.
The platform is suited to projects that require repeated underwater observations over days or weeks, including marine habitat monitoring, aquaculture site checks, biofouling studies, mooring and infrastructure observation, sediment movement, environmental compliance, and remote seabed deployments.
Rather than operating as a live-view ROV camera, DeepWatch 1000 is designed as a deploy-and-recover monitoring tool: place it on site, allow it to collect visual data autonomously, then recover the unit and download the image record.
